Becky Cantrill is an experienced Mental Health and Police Station accredited representative. She is an accredited member of the Law Society Mental Health Panel and Police Station Scheme. She represents a range of both civil and forensic patients subject to the Mental Health Act 1983 and those detained at the Police Station for criminal offences.
Her career commenced at the age of 16 as an office junior, where she quickly progressed attaining her Police Station accreditation at the age of 21. Her vast experience in criminal law gives her distinct leverage in applying the criminal justice system and forensic mental health for clients detained in low, medium and high secure hospitals.
Becky has successfully represented professionals in the sports and performing arts industries detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.
She has assisted and represented clients in complex and high-profile cases in both Mental Health and Crown Court cases.
She is highly regarded for her meticulous case preparation and client engagement. She consistently represents Community Treatment Order (CTO) patients, CAMHS cases and individuals with complex mental health needs and eating disorders.
Notably she has prepared and assisted in numerous exceptional hardship and special reasons applications before the Magistrates Court.
Becky has a proven track record in tribunal advocacy and at police station interviews, challenging evidence and strong representation.
