Mira completed her LLB in Law and Criminology at Cardiff University in 2019, graduating with a 2:1. During her undergraduate studies, she was a Case Worker for the Cardiff Innocence Project analysing murder case files and making CCRC applications. She was also a Police Student Volunteer for 3 years with South Wales Police working closely with Major Crime and patrolling the student areas.
Mira then completed her Bar Professional Training Course and Master in Laws at the University of Law (Leeds) and was called to the Bar of England & Wales in May 2021. During her postgraduate studies, she represented vulnerable clients in front of Social Security and Employment Tribunals as well as volunteering with Support Through Court in Leeds.
In 2021 she joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a Legal Solutions Specialist (Paralegal) part of their Dispute Resolutions team, working on a number of complex multijurisdictional litigation matters including the Volkswagen NOx emissions litigation.
Mira joined Henry Hyams in December 2022 as a Paralegal in the Family Department. She works closely with clients, preparing applications and statements for the court as well as helping fee earners in both Public & Private Family Law matters. Mira is native Bulgarian speaker and has a basic knowledge of German.
Outside of work, Mira is a History buff who enjoys reading crime and fantasy books. She is a certified tour guide in Bulgaria and has boxing experience.
