Dealing with a probate application of a loved one following a death can be a complicated and stressful process. You may have lost a loved one, family member or close friend and are now responsible for their estate. Making a probate application at such a sad and difficult time can feel quite overwhelming. • Identify who the Executors are for a Grant of Probate application

• Advice on Intestacy and identify the Administrators for the Letters of Administration application if your loved one has died with no Will 

• Valuation of the Estate assets – we will explain what financial documents are required to value the estate eg bank/building society statements, shares, investments, legal interest in property and liabilities so that we can establish the net worth of the Estate 

• Advice on Inheritance Tax (IHT) if the Estate is valued at more than the excepted estate limit, preparation of the relevant IHT forms and payment of the IHT to HMRC  

• Prepare the application for the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration 

• We can also deal with the full administration of the estate on behalf of an Executor or Administrator including collection of the assets, payment of any debts/liabilities 

• Distribution of the Estate in accordance with the Will or the Rules of Intestacy
