Actions Against Police

We believe that it is important that the police are held to account for their actions. If you feel that the police have overstepped the mark in dealing with you we can help you address that.

We have over 20 years experience and can guide you through the following processes:

• Wrongful arrest/false imprisonment

• Malicious prosecution

• Complaints
• Judicial Review

We will look at cases where you believe the police have insufficient evidence to arrest and detain, or use excessive force during an arrest. We also work closely with our mental health and prison law departments, bringing claims against hospitals and the prison service in false imprisonment or unlawful detention.    

This area of work remains in scope for Legal Aid funding for those financially eligible and we have a contract with The Legal Services Commission to provide funded representation in the Yorkshire region.
