Lloyd Bergen is the senior partner of Henry Hyams and both the head and founding member of the family department.  He has dedicated his career to family law for the last 40 years. 

Lloyd’s sensitive, caring and committed approach to helping people through the difficulties of relationship break down and issues concerning children has won him legions of loyal clients and an excellent reputation in the field of family law. He is a member of the Family Panel and has a particular expertise in dealing with issues involving children both in the public and private law arena for which he has developed an outstanding reputation. 

Lloyd also deals with complex financial matters in divorce proceedings with a particular reputation for dealing with the complexities and sensitivities of the breakdown of marriages in the Asian community.  

Domestic violence is a subject Lloyd feels very strongly about, whether violence is physical, emotional or financial. Over the years he has developed an expertise in the field of injunctions and occupation orders for which he is renowned.

On the rare occasions Lloyd is not working he enjoys spending time with his family and watching Leeds United.
